From pilot plots to adoption metrics
Execution Sprint (following earlier advisory)
Client overview
A digital platform connecting farmers with agronomic services and inputs. Strong pilot traction; inconsistent reporting from the field; tension between product roadmap and operations.
Challenge
Yield and adoption stories were compelling in workshops but fragile in board materials. Investors and partners could not rely on a single definition of “active farmer” or “successful plot.”
Approach
Execution Sprint focused on operating rhythm: weekly field–product sync, a minimum viable analytics dictionary, and escalation rules when data quality dropped below an agreed threshold.
Outcomes
Material improvement in reporting consistency quarter-on-quarter; fewer emergency data “fire drills”; and a documented handover so the COO’s office could run the cadence without external facilitation.
Key learnings
In ag-tech, the product is only as credible as the last mile. Metrics had to be co-owned by field leadership, not delegated purely to data teams.
